GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

My dear kids, I have some things to tell you:





1) I’ve sent your last exam marks during the weekend. They are the last Natural Science exam marks and not Social ones as I said wrongly in that email.

2) We will mantain Brandon’s speaking practices during the week and we will also one general video conference together on Thursday, 14th May. Teachers included!! Sorry... 😬😉

3) A new task for VALORES in both Year 6 A and B: En español ¡claro! Para el viernes 22 de mayo contadnos en un resumen vuestras vivencias durante el confinamiento: Sentimientos, que habéis aprendido, primeras sensaciones al salir a la calle después de tanto tiempo (ejemplo: Me gusta volver a salir o no me interesa porque no veo a los amigos, etc) ... lo que queráis. Será un placer leeros más allá de la gramática, Excalibur, los ayuntamientos y los concejales, etc.

These kids have to watch the videos attached below about KET SPEAKING PART 2 to warm up themselves for the practice. Take notes while you watch them and imagine in front of a mirror possible expressions to express agreement/disagreement, opinions.









ENGLISH

1) New grammar tense (easy): The present perfect continuous.

It’s the almost same form as the present perfect but with a verb ending in -ing. See it below!

Subject+have or has + been + verb(ing)
My family has been living in Madrid since I was a baby.
Mi familia lleva viviendo en Madrid desde que yo era un bebé.
Mi familia vive en Madrid desde que era un bebé.

More examples for you!

I’ve been working for my uncle more than two years ago.
He estado trabajando para mi tío mas de dos años.

He has been learning robotics for three years.
El ha estado aprendiendo robótica desde hace tres años.

She hasn’t been going to the park two months ago.
Ella no ha estado yendo al parque desde hace dos meses.

How long have you been living here?
¿Cuánto tiempo llevas viviendo aquí?

3) To sum up, the present perfect continuous form is as follows (copy it on your English notebook 😉)
AFFIRMATIVE

Example: They’be been preparing this exam long time ago.
                 You have been working out in the gym for years.
NEGATIVE

Example: My aunt haven’t been watching TV since it was broken.
                 Oscar hasn’t been practicing golf since winter.
QUESTION

Example: Where have you been spending your holidays?
                 How long has he been playing the piano?
                 You look tired, have you been walking around all the day?
                  How long has your dad been preparing the cake?
