2) Review this information about reported speech. It will be useful for the activities you have below and new zoom ideas we are preparing for you in zoom 🤭🙄

HOW TO FORM THE REPORTED SPEECH

                  “shift back” means retroceder.

Now complete this table on your notebook. You have to “shift back” the verb one tense into the past. For example: He is reading→ He was reading.

Once more you have to change the verb tense one tense back to report these sentences. One thing! The past simple of “may” is might.

Let’s finish reviewing Reported speech questions:

Answers tomorrow 😉

NATURAL SCIENCE

1) Selfcorrection:

3) Answer the following questions:

a) Name the stages in which humans interact with their environment.
Detecting stimuli, generating orders and responding to orders.

b) What is a stimuli?
It’s information from the outside or inside our body that produces a reaction of our body.

c) What organs receive stimuli?
The receptor organs that have special receptor cells in charge of detecting stimuli and sending the information they receive to the nervous system.

d) Name the sense organs in our body.
They are the eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin. These five organs help us to perceive and respond to our surroundings thanks to the receptor cells.

e) How does our body response to stimuli?
The brain interprets the signal sent by the sense organs (ears, nose, tongue, etc) through the nervous system. Then the brain sends a coherent order to the skeleton and muscles through nerve impulses to produce or execute the order.

f) Name the organs contained by our nervous system.
They’re the brain, Central nervous system, sense organs and the spinal cord or “médula espinal”.

g) What is the nerve impulses job?
To transmit signals or information.

h) What is our nervous system made up?
It’s made up of special cells called neurons. They are connected each other forming strings called nerves. Do you remember the picture of a leg I posted yesterday? The yellow string was a nerve. That  nerve is formed by lots of neurons interconnected together.

2) Today you will see the sense of sight and hearing:
- Watch the video and read page 54 on your notebook when it finish.

- Watch the video about hearing and read page 55 when it finish.

3) Copy the pictures of the eye and the ear that you have on pages 54 and 55 and label their parts in English and in Spanish.

AND NOW FORGET YOUR TEACHER CAROLINA TILL TOMOROW. HAVE A GOOD DAY! 😘

WEDNESDAY 10th JUNE 2020

Dear kids,
Each day, each moment bring us the opportunity to change and improve ourselves.
Smile, breath and.... go for it! (¡a por ello!) 💪

ENGLISH

1) Selfcorrection:

2) Read page 126 in your Pupil´s Book about Questions in reported speech. It´s important you read it to do the following activities comfortably, ok?
PB page 126, activity 1.
AB page 85, activities 1 and 2.
page 87, activity 4 (this isn´t a grammar activity, it has to do with a Cambridge exam one)

NATURAL SCIENCE

1) Selfcorrection: Wordlist page 63.

2) Watch this video about the nervous system. It´s in Spanish 😉

3) See these pictures about our nervous saystem. Whyen I was your age it was difficult for me to imagine this system. It was easy for me to imagine the respiratory system, the digestive one, the circulatory... but this one was tricky because I found difficult have a visual idea about it.
Any schoolbook showed a picture but thanks to the internet era we can find pictures or real photos of it. In this picture the newrvous system is the third one:

In this second picture you can see some nerves attached to muscles in yellow. The blue and red ones would form part of the circulatory system.

To figure out how does this system look like and how does it work, I suggest you to imagine it as an electrical circuit where the wires would be the nerves are connected to organs. That net of wires or nerves send the information through electrical currents or nerve impulses to the brain that would work as a battery that receives energy from food and resting.

 2) Read pages 52 and 53. Underline (if you have your own book) or copy in your notebook the most important definitions.
3) Answer the following questions:
a) Name the stages in which humans interact with their environment.
b) What is a stimuli?
c) What organs receive stimuli?
d) Name the sense organs in our body.
e) How does our body response to stimuli?
f) NHame the organs contained by our nervous system.
g) What is the nerve impulses job?
h) What is our nervous system made up?

AND THAT´S ALL FOR TODAY. ENJOY THIS WEDNESDAY AND DON´T FORGET TO            SMILE AND IMPROVE YOURSELVES.😘

TUESDAY, 9TH JUNE 2020

GOOD MORNING! How are you doing?

Today we are going to work some grammar with reported speech questions, and listening.
Ket students will have to watch a video and a "cheat sheet" or "chuleta" to take into account in you speaking practice with Brandon and in your future Cambridge exam next year. It´s compulsory kets!
Pet students will have a special material for speaking in a few days.

ENGLISH

1) REPORTED SPEECH QUESTIONS:If you remember, last week we saw that questions in reported speech have an ordinary word order. I mean, you don´t have to write auxiliars at the beginning of a question, secondly the subject and so on. The order is:

                             SUBJECT+ASKED (or a synonim of ask) + HIM/HER/US/THEM....

→See these examples:

She said: "Are you cold?"    She asked me if I was cold.
He said: "Where's my pen?"    He asked where his pen was.

→In yes/no questions we have to use ïf¨or ¨whether. For example;

"Do you speak English?"    He asked me if I speak English.
"Did you come by train?"    The policewoman inquired me whether I had come by train.
¨Are you French?    The clerk asked us if we were French.

2) DO YOU DARE TO DO THIS QUIZ?

REPORTED SPEECH QUESTIONS

3) Form the reported speech questions in your notebook. Answers tomorrow 😉

4)Listening activity:
→ Listening for ket students:
Click below to do this activity. First do the preparation task. Secondly listen the recording where a girl leaves two messages to her friend for an invitation.
Then do tasks 1 and 2.

An invitation to a party

→ Listening  for pet students:
Click below to do this activity. First do the preparation task. Secondly listen the recording where two friends talk about a famous TV serie.
Then do tasks 1 and 2.

Chatting about series

KET MATERIAL FOR THEIR SPEAKING PRACTICE!!

This "cheat sheet" or "chuleta" has been done by our great assisstant Brandon. It took him a long time to prepare it for you. You will also watch a video below.
This material is gold for your KET exam.
Here are written expressions that you can use in part 2 of your speaking test. The video is a summary of the most important things you have to remember during the test.

Let´s see Unit 4: Human beings.
This unit is about the nervous system.
1) Wordlist page 63: Look up the words in Spanish and write on your notebook.
2) Now watch the introductory videos to the nervous system:
