WEDNESDAY, 6th MAY 2020

Happy nice morning kids!

We have been confined for 51 days and I have never told you that I admire you children. So it’s time  to congratulate you for the great effort you make doing your homework every day at home. Most of you send me the work that I ask for and I perceive the effort behind it:  It is exciting that children your age try to overcome this crisis that we are living with your integrity.
You are great guys. Congratulations. ♥️
I also want to congratulate your parents for the enormous effort of working at home and taking care of you. It’s very hard. But we are strong!

SOCIAL SCIENCE
1) Selfcorrection:

a) The two institutions that govern in an autonomous community are the city council (ayuntamiento) and the autonomous government (gobierno autonómico)

b) The mayor or the mayoress (alcaldesa) and the councils (concejales).
They are in charge of organizing and managing important cities for their function ability. For example. The city cleaning service, monuments and buildings, security services as the police and firefighters, etc.

c) The autonomous president (presidente/a autonómico and the counselors (consejeros) They regulate the before mentioned services and manage the budget (presupuesto or money) that covers the autonomous community expenses (gastos)

d) It’s a law that concerns the territory of each autonomous community. So each Spanish autonomous community has its own statute of autonomy that regulates life there and tells the cultural symbols of that area: the flag, the anthem, important festivities, language spoken there as a second language (gallego, catalán, Vasco) etc.

2) It’s time to finish reading the last part of the summary titled Unit 6 Spain’s organization.

What I want you to do to in this unit?
I give you two options so you can use the one that fits better to you:
- A diagram of this unit.
- A summary.
Choose the one you like most and send me your choice next Wednesday 13th May 2020 to my email.
If you have any question, if there’s something you don’t understand you can write also to my email.
